Dr. Jemin Gajipara's Care Philosophy

Dr. Jemin N. Gajipara is a board certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty certification in Pain Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at the St. Louis University Hospital School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. After his fellowship, he practiced at a renowned pain center in Ann Arbor, Michigan for several years.

Dr. Gajipara uses a multi-modal approach to managing chronic pain. Chronic pain can affect the sufferer in many different ways. A  multi-modal approach addresses pain from all perspectives. This means providing treatment not just for the physical pain, but also treatment to help the patient return to mental and emotional well being.

The treatment modes Dr. Gajipara uses are interventional pain procedures, medications, physical therapy, behavioral medicine, relaxation techniques, diet, exercise and lifestyle modifications.  He works with his patients to develop a personalized multi-modal treatment regimen that precisely addresses the range of concerns brought about by their chronic pain to improve their function, activities of daily living and quality of life. He carefully works towards decreasing his patients’ medication requirements by applying the various modalities of treatment.
