Physician Biography
Philip M. Brown, M.D., F.R.C.A. Dr. Philip Brown, with an office located in Dallas TX, is a United Kingdom trained anesthesiologist specializing in pain management. He received his medical degree from the University of Leeds, England, and completed his post graduate training and residency in the Yorkshire Regional Training Scheme. He was accredited with Fellowship of the Royal College of Anesthesiologists (U.K.) in 1978. Dr. Brown was a Consultant (Attending) Anesthesiologist with a special interest in Pain Management to the Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust (UK) from 1981 to 1999. During those years he also maintained a private practice in anesthesiology and pain management. Finally, he maintained a commitment to training residents and fellows as an honorary lecturer in anesthesia and pain management at the University of Leeds, UK. Dr. Brown relocated to the United States in 1999, and worked as an Assistant Professor in anesthesiology and pain management at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He was appointed Director of Chronic Pain Management Services, Parkland Health and Hospital System in 2004. He joined the Baylor Center for Pain Management in 2006, and currently maintains pain management practices at Baylor and at Presbyterian Hospitals. He is currently on staff at Baylor University Medical Center, Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine, multiple other Baylor Hospitals, Presbyterian Hospital at Dallas, and a number of North Dallas Ambulatory Surgical centers. Dr Philip Brown is a credentialed diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Brown is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Dallas County Anesthesiology Society, North Texas Pain Group, Texas Medical Association, American Society of Interventional Physicians, International Association for the Study of Pain and the British Medical Association.
